✵Herbalist Zhang Zhongjing defined the Dryness-induced disease in about 6 syndromes. These syndromes are all defined in details by his famous works:

✦ Dryness-induced disease, the lung is attacked first, then attack the large intestines, then spreading to five Zang, the syndromes are different in forms, should be treated with difference separately, and according to pulse taken with channels and meridians.

✦ Dryness-induced disease, symptoms thirst, dry throat, panting, cough, thoracic fullness and chest pain(fullness sensation in chest and chest pain), spitting blood in worse conditions, pulse floating short urgent, this is the case the dryness pathogen attack the lung...In the case the dryness pathogen spreading to the large intestines, definite symptoms difficult defecation, thirsty, want to drink hot, pulse urgent and large.
✦ Dryness-induced disease, symptoms erosion of the mouth, heat Qi counterflow(reverse flow of the heat Qi), thoracic pain(pain in the chest), pulse large and uneven, this is the case the dryness pathogen attack the heart.
✦ Dryness-induced disease, symptoms red eye(hot eyes), bitterness in mouth, dry throat, hypochondriac pain, pulse stringlike and rapid pulse, this is the case the dryness pathogen attack the liver.
