✦Asked: there is disease known as Huo Luan, what is it?

✦Master: vomiting and diarrhea, this is the case of Huo Luan.

✦ Master: the Huo Luan disease belong to TaiYin, the cases of Huo Luan surely will vomit and diarrhea, but the cases of vomit and diarrhea does not surely belong to Huo Luan. The disease of Huo Luan, caused by the cold and heat pathogens accumulated chaotically in the center energizer. The ascending counterflow of heat Qi(upward flow of heat pathogen) thus leads to vomiting, the downward flow of cold pathogen thus lead to diarrhea. For those cases improper diet(dietary irregularities, eating and drinking without temperance), retention and stasis of food in the center energizer, the upper part flow upward and vomiting, the lower part flow downward and diarrhea, this is the case of vomiting and dysentery, not the case of Huo Luan.

✦ Asked: there are cases with symptoms fever, headache, body pain, aversion to cold, vomiting and dysentery, what is it? Master: this is not Huo Luan. The cases of Huo Luan will vomit and diarrhea spontaneously uninhibited. The case aversion to cold, body pain, and also fever, thus know it is not Huo Luan.
