Introduction
Body-fluid syndromes differentiation  ✵The Body-fluid syndromes differentiation, also known as Body-fluid Pattern Identification, is the differentiation of syndromes or identification of patterns according to the condition of body fluids.

Introduction of the syndromes of the Body-fluid.

Body fluid Flow Graph Introduction: The syndrome of the Body-fluid syndrome is a collective term for diseases(or syndromes) of the body fluid.

Common types: The common types of Body-fluid syndromes are known including:

Fluid insufficiency of Zang-Fu viscera:Fluid insufficiency syndrome, Fluid insufficiency of Zang-Fu viscera, Lung fluid consumption, lung fluid consumption syndrome, Stomach fluid consumption, stomach fluid insufficiency syndrome, Large intestinal fluid insufficiency, large intestinal fluid insufficiency syndrome, fluid insufficiency with concentrated blood, Fluid insufficiency with retained heat, Syndrome of fluid insufficiency with retained heat, fluid insufficiency with exuberant fire.

Retained-fluid syndrome:interior retention of water-fluid syndrome, retained fluid in pericardium syndrome, syndrome of retained fluid in the chest and hypochondrium, syndrome of interior retention of cold-fluid, syndrome of retention of cold-fluid in the lung, syndrome of retention of cold-fluid in the stomach, syndrome of stomach cold with retained fluid.

 Phlegm syndrome:phlegm-turbidity syndrome, wind-phlegm syndrome, cold-phlegm syndrome, damp-phlegm syndrome, heat-phlegm syndrome, dryness-phlegm syndrome.

Water retention syndrome and Water-Qi syndrome(Edema syndrome).

✵Fluid insufficiency syndrome:  a syndrome marked by dry mouth and throat, parched or cracked lips, thirst with desire to drink, oliguria, constipation, reddened tongue lacking moisture, and rapid thready weak pulse.

✦Fluid insufficiency of Zang-Fu viscera:  a general term for fluid insufficiency involving various Zang-fu viscera.

✦Lung fluid consumption:  a morbid condition characterized by insufficiency fluid in the lung.

✦Lung fluid consumption syndrome:  a syndrome marked by dryness of the nose and mouth, dry cough with hoarseness, and dry tongue coating.

✦Stomach fluid consumption: a morbid condition characterized by insufficiency fluid in the stomach.

✦Stomach fluid insufficiency syndrome:  a syndrome marked by dry lips and mouth, retching, constipation, emaciation, and absence of tongue coating.

✦Large intestinal fluid insufficiency:  a morbid condition characterized by insufficient fluid in the large intestine, often seen in the aged, postpartum women or at the late stage of a febrile disease.

✦Large intestinal fluid insufficiency syndrome:  a syndrome marked by constipation, dry throat and fidgetiness.

✦Fluid insufficiency with concentrated blood:  a morbid condition marked by withered skin, dry throat, thirst, oliguria, reddened tongue without saliva, thready and rapid pulse.

✦Fluid insufficiency with retained heat:  a morbid condition characterized by insufficiency of fluid with retention of heat in the interior.

✦Syndrome of fluid insufficiency with retained heat:  a syndrome marked by fever, thirst, dry lips and tongue, oliguria, constipation, restlessness, reddened tongue with yellow coating, and rapid pulse.

✦Fluid insufficiency with exuberant fire:  a morbid condition marked by fever, fidgetiness, insomnia, dry and sore throat, constipation, reddened tongue, and thready, rapid pulse.

Body fluid Syndromes ✵Retained-fluid syndrome:  abbreviation for syndrome of interior retention of water-fluid.

✦Interior retention of the water-fluid syndrome:  a syndrome marked by dizziness, thoracic and epigastric stuffy sensation, vomiting of clear fluid, slippery tongue coating, and wiry pulse.

✦Retained fluid in pericardium syndrome:  a syndrome marked by palpitation, orthopnea with fullness and stuffy sensation in the heart and chest, pale purplish tongue with white slippery coating, and hidden or weak pulse.

✦Syndrome of retained fluid in the chest and hypochondrium:  a syndrome marked by fullness and stuffy sensation in the chest, cough, dyspnea, white slippery tongue coating, and wiry and slippery pulse.

✦Syndrome of interior retention of cold-fluid:  a syndrome marked by aversion to cold with cool limbs, cough with frothy expectoration, or dizziness with palpitation and suffocating sensation, or epigastric stuffiness with vomiting of clear fluid, or costal and hypochondriac distention, plump tongue with white slippery coating, and wiry slippery pulse.

✦Syndrome of retention of cold-fluid in the lung:  a syndrome marked by cough, dyspnea, wheezing or orthopnea, thin whitish sputum, white slippery tongue coating, and wiry pulse.

✦Syndrome of retention of cold-fluid in the stomach:  a syndrome marked by epigastric distention with splashing sound in the stomach, vomiting of clear fluid, white slippery tongue coating, and wiry pulse, also known as the syndrome of stomach cold with retained fluid.

✦Syndrome of stomach cold with retained fluid:  same as the syndrome of retention of cold fluid in the stomach.

✵Water retention syndrome:  a syndrome marked by edema and oliguria, or accompanied by ascites, pale plump tongue with white slippery coating, and soggy and relaxed pulse, also known as a water-Qi syndrome or edema syndrome.

✵Water-Qi syndrome: also known as Edema syndrome, same as water retention syndrome.

✵Phlegm syndrome:  a general term for a group of syndromes marked by cough, dyspnea with profuse expectoration, or by nausea, vomiting, and dizziness, or by the formation of local round masses.

✦Phlegm-turbidity syndrome:  same as phlegm syndrome.

✦Wind-phlegm syndrome:  a syndrome marked by cough with frothy expectoration, stuffy sensation in the chest, dizziness, headache, or phlegmatic sounds in the throat, wry eye and mouth corner, white greasy tongue coating, and wiry and slippery pulse.

✦Cold-phlegm syndrome:  a syndrome marked by cough with whitish expectoration, dyspnea or wheezing, aversion to cold with cool limbs, white greasy tongue coating, and wiry slippery or tense pulse.

✦Damp-phlegm syndrome:  a syndrome marked by cough with profuse expectoration, heavy sensation of the limbs, stuffy feeling in the chest and stomach, reduced food intake, stickiness of the mouth, white greasy tongue coating, and wiry and slippery pulse.
