 a yellowish mushroom of Ganoderma multiplicatum Mont.Pat. grows on a trunk Botanical description: Ganoderma multiplicatum (Mont.) Pat is a fungus of the Ganodermataceae or Polyporaceae family and Ganoderma genus, it is commonly known as Yellow Ganoderma, or Huang LingZhi (which means Yellow Ganoderma); the basidiocarp (fruiting body) is annual, sessile, suberinite to ligneous; the pileus (cap) is rimous (cracked), orbicular (subrotund), 9 × 12 cm; the surface has a brown and khaki alternate wide ring edge and annule, slightly with lacquer-like luster; the edge is undulated, obtuse; the thickness of the context is about 0.5 cm; the upper layer is fawn color (flavotestaceous); the lower layer is darker, brown or bistre (seal brown); the fungus tube is brown, about 0.9 cm long; the pore surface is brown; the tube orifice is slightly rounded; the wall of the tube is slightly thicker, 4~5 per mm. Sessile, but at the junction of the pileus (cap) and substratum, there is a very short prosthecae base.

 an orange-colored mushroom of Ganoderma tsugae grows in field. The husk structure is an irregular sporiferous layer type, and compositive hyphae are hazel (pale brown); the tip is usually not enlarged, different in length, not on the same horizontal line, and accumulates together in a tuft; length is 10–15–22.5 μm, width is 4–5 μm. The lower part of the hypha is buried and hidden in black gelatinous substances (colloid substances).

 The mycelial system is a three-body type: generative hypha are colorless to slightly hazel (pale brown), leptodermous (thin wall), 3–5 μm in diameter; skeletal hyphae are hazel (pale brown), pachypleurous (thick wall) to farctate, dendritic branching or acicular, the skeletal part is 3–5 μm in dry diameter, flagelliform colorless binding hypha is formed at the end tip of branches; binding hypha is colorless, pachypleurous (thick wall), ramificate, 1–2 μm in diameter.

 The basidiospores are broad-ovate (broadly ovate) or nearly broadly elliptical, double wall, the outer wall is colorless and transparent, smooth, the inner wall is hazel (pale brown), and the inner wall has conspicuous spinules, 7.8–8.8×5.7–7 μm.
