✵Defecation-micturition syndromes: This classification of diseases mainly introduces some diseases and syndromes related to defecation and micturition. These include constipation syndromes (together with obstruction of feces, splenic constipation, incontinence of feces, prolapse of anus), uroschesis and ischuria syndromes (and dark urine syndrome), enuresis syndrome (and urinary incontinence, urination after drinking, rectal fistula), etc.
Constipation: Constipation is the infrequent or difficult evacuation of the feces. It is also known as biàn mì, or biàn bì. This article introduces constipation syndromes and related syndromes, obstruction of feces, splenic constipation, incontinence of feces, and prolapse of anus.
Uroschesis and ischuria syndromes
Uroschesis and ischuria: the uroschesis is difficulty in urination, the ischuria is anuria, these conditions are observed in diseases of the urinary bladder and urethra with retention of urine, or in renal failure involving extreme suppression of urine secretion. Together, uroschesis and anuria are known as lóng bì. The uroschesis and ischuria syndromes, as well as dark urine syndrome, are introduced.
Enuresis
Enuresis: Enuresis is the disease state characterised by the involuntary discharge of urine. It is also known as yí niào. It is a Qi deficiency syndrome of the kidneys, small intestines, and urinary bladder. Except enuresis, aconuresis (urinary incontinence), urination after drinking, rectovesical fistula are also introduced.
