Other Identified Special Species of Lingzhi mushroom:(39).Ganoderma magniporum.
Botanical description: Ganoderma magniporum J.D.Zhao et X.Q.Zhang is a fungus of the Ganodermataceae or Polyporaceae family and Ganoderma genus, it is commonly known as Ganoderma magniporum., Big-hole Ganoderma, or Da Kong LingZhi. The basidiocarp (fruiting body) is annual, petiolate, suberinite to ligneous. The pileus (cap) is semicircle (semicircular) to orbicular (suborbicular), 2.5 × 3 cm, thickness is 2–2.5 mm, the surface is dark brown (black brown) to black, slightly has lacquer-like luster, has dense concentric ring grooves toward edges; edges are crenate; the context is well-proportioned brown, thickness is 1–1.5 mm; the fungus tube is 0.5–1 mm long; the pore surface is uneven (sags and crests), brown; tube orifice is orbicular, 2–2.5 per mm. The prosthecae is pleurogenous (lateral), cylindrical, and the same color as the pileus (cap), about 2.5 cm long, and about 5 mm in diameter.
The husk structure is sporiferous layer type, hazel (pale brown) to brown, compositive hyphae are clavate, the tip is enlarged, sometimes it is in irregular shape or capitate, usually is 4.0–5.0 μm or 6.0 μm wide, and is 25–30 μm long.
The mycelial system is a three-body type: generative hypha is colorless and transparent, leptodermous (thin wall), ramificate, 2–3.0 μm in diameter; flagelliform colorless binding hypha could be formed at the end tip of branches; skeletal hyphae are hazel (pale brown) to brown, pachypleurous (thick-walled) to farctate, have arborizations (dendritic branching), skeletal part is 2–4.0 μm in dry diameter; flagelliform colorless binding hypha could be formed at the end tip of branches; binding hypha is colorless to slightly hazel, pachypleurous (thick wall), curved, ramificate, 1.5–2 μm in diameter.
The basidiospores are oval (egg-shaped) or long oval, sometimes the tip end is truncated, double wall, the outer wall is colorless and transparent, smooth, the inner wall is hazel (pale brown) to brown, has spinules, sometimes has oil drops inside, 8.7–10.4 x 5.2–7 μm.
Ecological Environment: Ganoderma magniporum J.D.Zhao et X.Q.Zhang grows in mountains and forests. Geographical distribution: This species is mainly distributed in Nonggang of Guangxi province, China. Worldwide, it is distributed in China.
