The pileus (cap) is semicircle (semicircular in shape), 5 × 8 cm, the base is 1.8 cm thick, the surface is brunneus (reddish-brown), dark brown (black brown) toward the base, having dense concentric rings ridges and annular ribs, sometimes has many thin-neck doliform (bottle-shaped) fluff; edges are hazel (pale brown), blunt, wavy (undulated), the lower part is infertile, 4–5 mm wide; the context is well-proportioned brown, 4–8 mm thick, has black chitinous layer (shell layer); fungus tube is brown, 1~1.2 cm long; pore surface is pale white or hazel (pale brown), the tube orifice is slightly rounded, 4–5 per mm (millimeter).

The mycelial system is three-body type: generative hypha is colorless and transparent, leptodermous (thin wall), 2.5–4.0 μm in diameter; skeletal hyphae are hazel (pale brown), pachypleurous (thick-walled) to farctate, have arborizations (dendritic branching) or are unbranched, skeletal part is 3–4.5 μm in dry diameter; one end of the branch often connects with generative hypha, and flagelliform colorless binding hypha could be formed at the end tip of branches, and compose mycelial system of skeletal hyphae-generative hypha-binding hypha; binding hypha is colorless, pachypleurous (thick wall), 1–2 μm in diameter.
The basidiospores are oval (egg-shaped), broad-ovate (broadly ovate), or tip is slightly truncated, double wall, the outer wall is colorless and transparent, smooth, the inner wall has no spinules or spinules are inconspicuous, colorless or slightly pale brown, 8.3–12 × 5.2–9 μm.
